There are two versions of the engineer profile portal available: with and without tracking. Without tracking, you can reassure customers by showing them who is coming to their property, including their name, photo, and industry credentials. In conjunction with Real-Time Vehicle Tracking, customers can also see the engineer's location as they travel, helping decrease no-access jobs as the customer has an accurate estimate arrival time.

Reduce no-access scenarios and build customer trust

Convenient for customers

People want a better idea of when to expect an engineer so they can structure their day accordingly. The engineer profile portal lets customers relax and know exactly when to expect their service appointment.

Informative engineer profile

The engineer profile includes the engineer's name, photo, and any industry credentials such as Gas Safe ID, letting your customer know exactly who to expect and let in to their property.

Enhanced with tracking

Your customer will know where the engineer is on their journey and estimated time until arrival. Commusoft's real-time vehicle tracking feature is required to unlock this function of the engineer profile portal.

Engineer portal timeline

Automatically share the engineer profile when you travel

The engineer profile portal is shared via SMS text message when the engineer taps ‘Travel’ and makes their way to the job site. The customer can click the link within the text message to view the engineer’s profile. If you do not use of vehicle tracking feature, the customer will see the engineer profile with name, photo, industry credentials, and job description. This provides the customer with a professional service and offers reassurance as to who is going be completing the work.

Engineer profile portal with engineer tracking

Tracking functionality to reduce no-access jobs

When used with our Real-Time Vehicle Tracking feature, the customer will see the engineer’s route to their location and current ETA. By providing a responsive ETA, that will adjust if the engineer is stuck in traffic or takes a wrong turn, the customer will know exactly when to expect you. This allows them to tidy up or make the service area safe, or return to the property. In turn, this reduces no-access situations or hold ups – creating a smoother experience for everyone.

Engineer status

Share location only when the engineer travels

As soon as the engineer marks themselves as ‘Arrived’ or if they were to cancel the job for any reason, the software will no longer share their location with the customer. The engineer profile portal will update accordingly to let the customer know the new status, ensuring that the customer can only track the engineer when it’s appropriate.

Uber style tracking

Uber-style portal improves customer satisfaction

Consumers are increasingly expecting a sleek and professional customer experience and are growing used to tracking services such as for product deliveries, takeaways, and ride-sharing services. The engineer profile portal brings this functionality to the field service industry. We believe that providing as much information as possible about your services builds trust with your customers and will ultimately offer a superior experience.
